About us
Guilderoy Byrne performs traditional
and contemporary songs, tunes, and
stories.  Music includes Celtic and
International selections played on a
variety of acoustic, folk instruments. Our
group plays appropriate material for the
pub setting as well as more culturally
oriented, educational, and social events.
 
Guilderoy Byrne
Greg Byrne on vocals & guitars. Co-founding
member of two longstanding traditional groups:
Lexington-based Mad Catherine & the
Moondog Pirates, and Louisville-based
Galloglas. Has performed throughout the USA
and Canada as both soloist and group member.
Native of Covington, KY whose father’s family
immigrated to the USA from Ireland in 1842 by
way of Philadelphia. Mother’s family is Scottish.
“My father’s family are the drinkers, but my
mother’s family are the singers!”

Mark Cannon on vocals, whistle, flute,
mandolin, fiddle & percussion. An accomplished
multi-instrumentalist. There is not a traditional
instrument Mark hasn't played or contemplated
playing! Former member of traditional group
Ten Penny Bit, and a well-known band leader
for local and regional folk dances. Mark is an
excellent singer and contributes stirring vocal
pieces to the group’s  performances. He'll also
delight audiences with hilarious drinking songs
on occasion!

Cathy Owens on fiddle and vocals.  Cathy had
never even picked up a fiddle until she was an
adult, but once she did, it was as if she’d been
playing all her life.  As a former member of The
Wildwood Girls, she performed at Dollywood,
Silver Dollar City, FanFair and at numerous
festivals throughout the USA and Canada, and
toured with the Department of Defense
throughout Europe, the Mediterranean and
Central America.  Most recently she was a
member of the Museum of Applachia band in
Norris, TN, a Smithsonian Affiliate.  She has
studied under notable Sligo style fiddlers Brian
Conway, Rose Conway Flanagan, and Crystal
Plohman, and continues to refine her own style
of Irish fiddling.   

Tiffany Taylor on vocals and percussion.
Classically trained, Tiffany has performed many
genres in addition to Celtic, including folk,
blues, and country and is a former member of
Voces Novae choral ensemble. An
accomplished actress, Tiffany served as board
president for Louisville Repertory Co. and has
appeared in numerous plays presented by
Louisville Rep, Pandora Productions, and other
Louisville-area companies.
